Mihloti Expands Its Renewable Energy Portfolio

Following the successful completion of the Musina Solar PV Substation, Mihloti is actively expanding its renewable energy engineering capability to serve a growing pipeline of green energy projects.

Growing Into Green Energy

The successful delivery of the Musina Solar PV Substation in Limpopo has positioned Mihloti Consulting Engineers as a credible player in South Africa's rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

Building on Success

The 5 MVA grid-tied substation, delivered on time and within budget, demonstrated our team's ability to navigate the technical and regulatory complexity of utility-scale solar installations — from NERSA compliance to grid code requirements.

What's Next

We are currently in the tender stage for three additional renewable energy projects across the Northern Cape and Free State provinces. These include:

  • A 20 MVA solar PV farm electrical balance-of-plant design
  • A wind energy grid connection study
  • A hybrid solar-storage feasibility study for a mining client

Investing in Expertise

Mihloti has invested in specialist training and software tools for our electrical engineering team, ensuring we remain at the forefront of renewable energy design in South Africa.

We look forward to growing our contribution to South Africa's just energy transition.
